Pins Without The Three count – Interview Bro’s Retro Pins

The golden era of wrestling is becoming fashionable of late. We have seen A-list celebrities wearing NWO garments, basketball players wearing vintage Undertaker shirts and to top off the nostalgia, a WWE Hall of Famer became president.

One man who is keeping the dream alive is Danny Douglas, owner of Bros’ Retro pins. They make 25mm enamel pin badges based on the WWF hasbro action figures.

Danny was keen to share his thoughts about the popularity of the WWF era amongst fans. “I think there is such an appetite for the WWF era due the cartoony characters from the 80s and early 90s”.

Although he is only 20 years old, and probably too young to have experienced the WWF era, Danny has been given a comprehensive wrestling education from his father. “He loved World of Sport wrestling from the 70s and got me into it. I’ve always been a fan of British wrestling growing up and going to Independent shows such as FWA, 1PW and All Star Wrestling. We used to go up and down the country watching wrestling and even got involved with a company for 6 years. I was putting up rings, training and giving out posters. So my dad’s love of wrestling got me into this amazing world.”

There is more to come from the range with several other notable legends being added soon. “I’m thinking of  Ultimate Warrior and Big Boss Man from series 1 in the Hasbro line. I’ll hopefully have them available within the next few months”.
